The #KFCBetterMornings Photo Contest ("the Contest") is organised by QSR Stores Sdn Bhd ("Organiser") and will run from 12th August 2016 – 1st September 2016. The Organiser reserves the right to shorten or extend the Contest period at its own discretion. Participants must be Malaysian residents aged 18 and above, participants under the age of 18 are required to obtain parental consent prior to participation in the Contest ("Participants"). Employees or immediate family members & relatives of the Organiser, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising/PR agencies and suppliers are NOT eligible to participate in the Contest. Participants may submit as many entries as they choose, but each Participant is eligible to win ONLY once. Entry and participation in this Contest shall be deemed an unconditional acceptance by the Participant to adhere strictly all Terms and Conditions. Entries that are lewd, obscene, pornographic, racist, sexist, or otherwise inappropriate to the Contest will be disqualified and removed from the Organiser's tagged photos at the Organiser's sole discretion. How to Participate:
A. Take a photo of what makes your mornings better B. Create a caption no longer than 200 words to accompany your visual. Example: A #KFCBetterMornings to me is having a yummy breakfast at KFC with my family! C. Upload your photo and caption on Instagram with hashtag #KFCBetterMornings (ensure your Instagram account is set to public). Winner Selection:
A. For each week beginning Friday and ending Thursday from 12th August to 1st September (ending Thursday, 1st September 2016), one weekly winner will be chosen. Weekly consolation prizes will also be given to top ten creative entries. B. Entries will be judged based on creative use of photo, caption, and use of C. The judging process will be according to the breakdown below: Creativity of content using photo medium - 50 pts
Creativity of caption - 50 pts
Total: 100 pts

NOTE: BONUS 20 pts will be awarded to entries that uses KFC Breakfast
product in the content.


The Organiser's decision on matters relating to the Contest (including, but not limited to the selection of the winners) shall be final and absolute. No discussion, correspondence, enquiry, appeal or challenge in respect of any decision shall be entertained. One (1) weekly winner for RM1,500 cash prize: Week 1 (12th – 18th August) – RM1,500 cash prize x 1 winner Week 2 (19th – 25th August) - RM1,500 cash prize x 1 winner Week 3 (26th August – 1st September) – RM1,500 cash prize x 1 winner Ten (10) weekly winners for RM20 KFC vouchers. Week 1 (12th – 18th August) – RM20 KFC vouchers x 10 winners Week 2 (19th – 25th August) – RM20 KFC vouchers x 10 winners Week 3 (26th August – 1st September) – RM20 KFC vouchers x 10 The Organiser reserves the absolute right to disqualify entries that are incomplete, and/or illegible. The Organiser will not be held liable in the event of non-receipt or delayed delivery of any form of notification to the winner(s). All costs incidental to the redemption and/or utilization of the prizes shall be solely borne by the winners. The Organiser shall, under no circumstances be responsible and/or liable if any of the winners cannot be contacted. The Organiser further reserves the full right to disqualify and/or to substitute any winner if any reasonable attempt to contact them via any medium deemed appropriate by the Organiser has failed for any reason whatsoever. Images of prizes used are for illustration purposes only. Participation in this Contest and acceptance of the prizes constitutes an irrevocable permission for the Organiser to use the winners' names and photographs for purposes of publicity and advertisement without any compensation, royalty or need for prior notification to the winners. All Prizes are accepted entirely at the risk of the winner, and the Organiser excludes all warranties in connection with any prize to the extent permitted by law. Notification of winners
Winners will be announced and tagged via KFCMalaysia Instagram [instagram.com/KFCMalaysia] In the event of failure to respond to first contact within three (3) working days, another eligible winner will be selected. 10. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify, at its sole and absolute discretion, any eligible Participant and/or revoke or forfeit any prizes at any stage of the Contest if:- The Participant is not an eligible participant; The eligibility to win the Contest is on the condition that eligible Participants fully comply with the Terms and Conditions stipulated herein and without limited to the following; (i) Entries are incomplete and/or failure to fulfill all or any of the Terms and Conditions stipulated herein. Breach of any of the Terms and Conditions or other rules and regulations of the Contest or violates any applicable laws or regulations; The Organiser has, at its sole discretion, any reason whatsoever to believe that such eligible Participant has attempted to undermine the operation of the Contest in any way whatsoever, including but not limited to fraud, cheating, tempering or deception. Prizes must be redeemed in accordance with the mode specified or to be specified by the Organiser, at its sole and absolute discretion, upon notification to the winner and within a stipulated time period. Failure to adhere to the mode of collection and within the stipulated time period will result in forfeiture of the prizes and the winners shall have no claim whatsoever against the Organiser, its affiliates, subsidiaries, employees, representatives, retailers, distributors, dealers as well as its advertising, creative, media, digital, design and other creative agencies of the Organiser, in the event of forfeiture thereof. The Organiser shall not be liable for any disruption to the Contest, whether due to technical problems or otherwise, but not limited to computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Organiser which is beyond its reasonable control. In the event of disruption to the Contest, reasonable efforts shall be used to remedy the disruption and resume the Contest on a fair and equitable basis to the eligible Participants. All Participants are fully responsible for any injuries, damages or claims resulting from their participation in this contest and/or from the usage of the prizes. By participating in the Contest, accepting or collecting any prize, the Participants agree to indemnify the Organiser, all its business partners, its subsidiaries, affiliated companies and/or agencies, together with their respective directors, employees representatives, retailers, distributors, dealers as well as its advertising, creative, media, digital, design and other creative agencies of the Organiser and any other participating sponsors related to this Contest, from any claim, prosecution, judgment, damage, loss or liability which all prize winners may have or suffer, whether known or unknown at the present time, of any nature whatsoever, arising out of or relating to: personal injury and/or property damage, theft or loss suffered by the Participants as a result of their participation in the Contest and in the use and/or enjoyment and/or acceptance of the prizes won by the prize winner, or the use of prize winner's name(s), likeness, biography, voice(s) or videotape recordings of the prize winner by the Organiser or otherwise in connection with or related to the Contest referred to herein pursuant to the permission hereby granted. All rights and privileges herein granted to the Organiser are irrevocable and not subjected to rescission, restraint or injunction under any and all circumstances. Under no circumstances shall the eligible Participants have the right to injunctive relief or to restrain or otherwise interfere with the organization of the Contest, the production, distribution, exhibition and/or exploitation of the Contest and/or any product based on and/or derived from the Contest. All personal data collected will only be used for the purposes of managing and operating the Contest and not for any other purposes and the Organiser shall manage the personal data according to the Organiser's Privacy Policy and to the Personal Data Protection Act 2010. The Organiser reserves the right at its absolute discretion to vary, delete or add to any of these Terms and Conditions without any prior notice and Participants shall be bound by such changes. These Terms and Conditions will prevail over any inconsistent terms, conditions, provisions or representations contained in any other promotional materials advertising the Contest. The main language of the Terms and Conditions shall be the English language. Any translation to any other language than English shall be for convenience only. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend the Contest without any prior notice. For the avoidance of doubt, any cancellation, termination or suspension of the Contest by the Organiser shall not entitle the eligible Participants to any claim or compensation against the Organiser, its agents and employees for any and all losses or damages suffered or incurred by the eligible Participants as a direct or an indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination or suspension thereof. By participating in this Contest, it is deemed that the eligible Participants have read and unconditionally agrees to accept by these Terms and Conditions. Any breach of these Terms and Conditions may, at the Organiser's absolute discretion, result in forfeiture of any of the prizes or disqualification. These Terms and Conditions of the Contest shall be construed, governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. The Organiser does NOT require any bank account numbers or any other details. The Organiser in its absolute discretion reserves the right to publish and/or display names and photographs of the winners for advertising and publicity purposes without any royalty or compensation including, without limitation, any taping(s) and recording(s) in connection with the Contest.
